During the coronavirus lockdown - at a time when people were looking for something to do and talk about (or when you were a self-employed copywriter whose clients went cold turkey and you fell into the 5% not getting government support) - I created Home Truths…
Home Truths was a stay-at-home project where I asked friends, family, and founders nine questions about their favourite things to do, listen to, read, watch, cook, and learn. Think Desert Island Discs, but for all things cultural.
Each person’s answers gave us all interesting music, film, and arts recommendations for the months spent in lockdown.
1. The song to put a smile on your face
2. You can only watch one film during lockdown… What is it?
3. The TV series you want everyone to watch
4. The book you most recommend to people
5. The subject you’ve put off exploring that’s now top of your to-do list during lockdown
6. The wild card you wish more people knew about
7. Lockdown has lifted and we’re allowed dinner parties again… What are you cooking?
8. What’s the first coffee shop, restaurant or pub you’re visiting post-lockdown?
P.S. What you know now in lockdown that you wish you knew before
Head into one of the three sections below to start reading. If you’re not a friend or family then you’re best bet is the Founders section (far right).
I’m not precious about this project. By all means take the questions and use them in conversations with friends and family (beats talking about the weather and the virus).
