Ben Branson's Home Truths
1. The song to put a smile on your face…
We’ve been introducing our girls to Monty Python songs. Eric the Half-a-Bee and the Lumberjack song have become favourites.
2. You can only watch one film for the next three months… What is it?
Feels like that’s what we’ve been doing with Harry Potter films for the last year! I’ll go for The Lord of the Rings. Long, beautiful and magical.
3. The TV series you want everyone to watch:
Edge of Alaska. What a fascinating insight into life in the wilderness.
4. The book you most recommend to people:
The Seedlip Cocktail Book of course!
5. The subject you’ve put off exploring that’s now top of your to-do list:
Medicinal herbs. My wife and I have just planted a small medicine garden at home with plants like Echinacea, St John’s Wort, Yarrow and Calendula.
6. The wild card you wish more people knew about…
Biomimicry - the practice of using nature as model mentor or measure.
7. We’re allowed dinner parties again… What are you cooking?
BBQ’ing whatever is ready from the garden and butcher.
8. Everything’s back open. What’s the first coffee shop, restaurant or pub you’re visiting?
A proper coffee from 1220 in Old Amersham. Joe’s coffee is the best!
P.S. What you know now, that you wish you knew then…
I’m reminded daily that the English countryside is the most wonderful place on earth.
C’est fini... Now what?
