Everyone, this is Dan. Why ask him for his Home Truths?

Cos he c

Secret Leaders -

the UK’s top business podcast.

1. The song to put a smile on your face…

More Than Words - Extreme. It’s my 2-year wedding anniversary this week and this was our first dance in Ibiza with 125 friends so it will always put a smile on my face.

2. You can only watch one film for the next three months… What is it?

OOOH great question. Anything but Contagion? Ugh well I'd usually say a thriller or horror but I guess it would be silly not to say a comedy as will probably need some fun so.... I think the funniest film I saw last year was Booksmart so I'll say that (as I've only seen it once and frankly I've rinsed a lot of my favourite films with multiple watches so, not necessary).

3. The TV series you want everyone to watch:

This is easy. The Shield. Most under-watched, underrated show I've ever seen - grittiest and most high octane show, all about dirty cops in LA.

4. The book you most recommend to people:

The Alchemist. Nah I'm just joking I'm not 21 anymore. I read a lot, and write a top 10 list every year (here's last year's). Number 1 spot over the last 2 years have been Lost Connections by Johann Harri and Red Notice by Bill Browder - very different but both brilliant.

5. The subject you’ve put off exploring that’s now top of your to-do list:

Epidemiology for dummies? To be honest, I've not had the luxury of time for anything like that but if I did pick something it would be gardening for sure.

6. The wild card you wish more people knew about…

The Japanese term that I try to live by: Ikigai. Basically a really over the top Venn diagram of a perfect life.

7. We’re allowed dinner parties again… What are you cooking?

Meth? Never tried it but always wanted to and frankly, I'm up for some new experiences and might as well put every series of Breaking Bad to good use so it's not time wasted, right?

8. Everything’s back open. What’s the first coffee shop, restaurant or pub you’re visiting?

Lemonia in Primrose Hill with my mum. Lots of nostalgic memories there with her!

P.S. What you know now, that you wish you knew then…

It's incredible how unproductive you can be feeling very busy, and how productive you can feel having gone nowhere and 'doing' so little.

C’est fini... Now what?
